3D PageFlip Lite is the free version of this popular program. Though limited to TXT files, this tool can transform your plain text documents into attractive three-dimensional e-books with page turning capabilities. The results are of a high quality and the whole conversion process could not be simpler. The output can be saved as a ZIP archive, an HTML web page, or an executable file.
Being the “Lite” version, some limitations apply. The two main differences between this and the “Standard” version refer to the “Import PDF” feature and the use of templates. None of these utilities are available in this free version of 3D PageFlip, so all flipbooks created with this tool will necessarily be “text-only” documents. The program will apply the same template to all the books you create, though you can add some “personal touches” to it. Thus, you can change the background colors of the template, and add a logo to the toolbar that also includes the navigation controls for the book. The “tilt angle” that gives us that 3D feeling can also be personalized, together with the flip interval (in seconds) that the program will use when the “auto flip” option is on.
As said, the resulting e-book can be saved as an executable file, which you can use for easy distribution among clients or friends. This EXE file will automatically install the Flash viewer needed to read the book or magazine, showing both the document and the toolbar with the navigation controls.
